Sakthi Live Charleston!
Sakthi Live Charleston — On the weekend of July 2 & 3, 2011, people had a chance to see a live performance by the Sakthi Dancers in Charleston, SC, USA. The performance was a featured part of the FetNA convention hosted at the Gaillard Auditorium. We will post photos from the other performances on the tour as they become available.

The audience at the Gaillard Auditorium seemed to be thrilled with the performance, giving the talented young women multiple standing ovations.
The music and dance is moving. The costumes are vibrant, and the message is powerful.
Since this program was presented to an audience of Tamil Sangrams, the narration was presented in the Tamil language. The members of the audience who spoke English as their first language may have had difficulty understanding the details of what was said, and yet the message of energy, creativity, and personal power spoke loudly and eloquently through the artistry of the talented young women.
The Sakthi Dancers carry the message of empowerment and progress everywhere they go, and their artistry speaks much more loudly than words.
The Dancers’ tour of performances also include a performance July 9th, 2011 at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, South Carolina, a July 16th performance at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Columbia, South Carolina, and a July 23rd performance in Atlanta, Ga.
If you have an opportunity to experience the power of Sakthi live, it is highly recommended that you do so.
There are so many aspects of the performance which are unique and meaningful.
